Adhesion – Extrusion Lamination

Lotader® resins are very versatile, able to stick to many different substrates.

They are used:

• As a concentrate for LDPE:
  Lotader® is used to improve LDPE adhesion to foil and make it reliable.
  Interest: Very short transitions to LDPE, same high processing temperature.

• Pure:
  A versatile adhesive for all kind of polar/non polar, fibrous/not fibrous, organic or metallic films and foils.
  - Terpolymers used pure mainly
  - Higher performances with high comonomer content grades

Flexibility – Impact Modifier

• Lotader® are very flexible resins, they are used for years as impact modifiers of resins such as PA, polyester, PP, PPS.
  
• Epoxide functionality has been introduced in Lotader® by copolymerisation of Glycidyl Methacrylate (GMA) during production.
• Glycidyl Methacrylate makes Lotader® GMA highly compatible with polyester.
  

Heat Stability

• Lotader® resins offers:
  Good heat resistance compatibility with high process temperatures encountered in the process of Polyesters and Polyamides (>250°C),
  Low Tg depending on the acrylate type (EA, MA, BA) offering good impact
  Lotader® and Lotryl® wide range of acrylate content allow for tailor-made formulations and different softness degrees.

Lotader® resins can be used in high temperature processes without acid production or corrosion.

Processability

• As an adhesive:
  Lotader® resins are used as a tie layers for the manufacture of multilayers for food packaging.

They’re also used as heat-sealing films in car interiors as well as in the formulation of hot-melts for packaging and bookbindings.

• As a modifier:
  Lotader® resins are used in the manufacture of PA or Polyesters compounds for the electronics and automotive sectors.
