Lotader® Applications - Bitumen Modification

The addition of Ethylene Copolymers into bitumen for road improves their mechanical behaviour at high temperatures.
The goal is to avoid both deformation at elevated temperatures that may result in rutting, fatigue and retractation at cold temperatures, resulting in road cracking.
Lotader® copolymers are compatible with bitumen and will increase the mechanical performances of binders and results in a higher level of safety and comfort for users.
They are fully compatible and easily dispersed, they dramatically improves the elastic behaviour and ageing resistance of bitumen.
Cohesion between binders and aggregates for longer life of bitumen is enhanced.
